Where is Olio Bello?

Olio Bello is approximately 300km from Perth and located in the heart of the Margaret River wine region. The property is accessible from both Caves Road and the Bussell Highway. Our address is 36 Armstrong Road, Cowaramup – for your GPS.

What is Glamping?

Glamping is a trend taking the world by storm and Olio Bello is excited to be a part of it. It is all about luxury camping and connecting with nature without the hassle.. It’s defined as “glamorous camping” – a holiday that’s good for the soul.

How many guests can stay in the bungalows?

Our Safari Style Bungalows are designed to offer luxury en-suite accommodation with King or twin bed for 2 adults. A luxe sofa bed is also provided for up to 2 additional guests double or twin single.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, the bungalows can comfortably accommodate two children on the sofa bed. Please note, that there is no charge for infants under 2 years, but we do not provide items such as cots, highchairs or baby baths. All minors (under 18) must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. We make all parents aware that the glampsite is located next to a large unfenced body of deep water and strict supervision is required at all times.

Are there disabled facilities and parking?

Yes, there is one Lakeview bungalow fully designed to Australian standards for people with disabilities. This includes key access areas, tailored bathroom and direct parking facilities.

Is it pet friendly?

No, Sorry. The Bungalows are not suitable for pets of any kind, but there are some great pet retreats in Margaret River! Our Café, however, is dog friendly and open from 10am to 4:30pm daily.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Check in from 3pm. Check out by 10:00am

Can I check in early/check out late?

To ensure maximum flexibility, Olio Bello offers self check in anytime from 3pm onwards and a lazy late checkout of 11am. Early or late checkout is by prior arrangement only. Please contact us prior to arrival to make your request. If you arrive earlier and join us for lunch in the cafe please let our staff know that you're glamping so that we can let you know when your room is ready. Don't forget to check your email to access instructions for self check-in. Our friendly staff are available in the Café daily until 5pm if you require any assistance and 24/7 after hours support is provided by phone .

Is there air-conditioning or heating?

Yes, there are reverse cycle air-conditioners in the Bungalows and our new eco-fires. We also encourage use of our eco-ceiling fan, wherever possible.

Do you provide linen and towels?

Yes, all quality linen and towels are provided, along with bathrobes and extra blankets, as required.

What do we have to bring?

Your sense of adventure, your camera and a good book! In addition, we recommend you bring some closed walking shoes for the farm and a warm jacket (at all times of the year).

What is there to do at Olio Bello?

As one of Australia’s most awarded boutique producers of organic olive oil, we offer a full tasting room of gourmet farm produce, farm-shop, Café, Restaurant and farm shop. Guests can also walk the farm, visit the nearby beach at Gracetown and many world-famous nearby wineries, book a tour, or simply swing in a lakeside hammock and go off grid - and do nothing at all! . We also provide board games.

Are the Bungalows serviced?

Yes, we provide a mini eco-clean for all stays longer than three days.

It’s glamping – is there a hair dryer?

Yes, of course!

Is there mobile coverage at the Farm?

Yes, in our experience Telstra has strong signal and Optus varies dependent on location.

Can I swim in the lake?

No, sorry. The lake is not accessible for recreational purposes. However, there are beautiful walks around the lake, a lakeside hammock and dining table and chairs. The sunset views are superb!

How far is the beach?

The pristine beaches of Gracetown and world-famous surf breaks are only 5 minutes away.

How far to the shops or town?

Margaret River is 15km from Olio Bello and the township of Cowaramup is only 5km away. Olio Bello also has its own gourmet farm shop and boutique tasting room, open daily from 10am. There is also a fantastic convenience store at Gracetown.

How far to the wineries and tourist attractions?

Olio Bello is ideally located amongst all of Margaret River’s leading tourist attractions and world-class wineries. Please ask our friendly staff for recommended day trips during your stay.

Is there a Café or Restaurant at the Farm?

Yes, the popular Olio Bello Café is open daily from 10am to 4:30pm showcasing the fresh, gourmet and organic produce direct from the farm. Coffee from 10am, lunch from 11:30am and last food orders at 3:30pm.

Do I need to book?

No, but due to its popularity, it’s a good idea to reserve our table with our staff, or via email prior to arriving. Don't forget to show your Glamping VIP card to receive a 10% discount across the Shop and Restaurant.

Can I purchase alcohol?

There is a fully licensed Café and a mini-bar and fridge in each bungalow with a showcase of local Margaret River wines and beers.

Can I drink the water at the farm?

Yes, absolutely! Olio Bello provides pure rain water across all of its facilities.

Can I arrange a tour or driver to see the sights when glamping at Olio Bello?

Yes, we are proud partner with a number of highly recommended tour operators and showcase the spectacular region. Whether a private or group tour – simply ask your glamping hosts on arrival, or check the 'Your Margaret River Region' website to book in advance.

What about WiFi?

Olio Bello Lakeside Glamping now offers free WiFi to glamping guests in-room and in our Café area. Please note, however, that connection can be limited due to our location and we strongly recommend that you bring your own devices as a back-up. Please see your in-room information for your wifi password.

What about food in the evenings?

Guests can order directly from our popular Olio Bello Café menu (last orders at 3pm), or can also pre order our ‘Glamper Hamper’for two, to enjoy on the sunset deck. There is also a small appointed kitchenette in each bungalow with a kettle, microwave, crockery and utensils, but cooking is strictly limited to our communal BBQ area. Margaret River and the region, also offers a number of fantastic restaurants to enjoy during your stay. See our dining out recommendations.

Are there BBQ facilities?

Yes, we have two designated BBQ areas for a relaxed and fun outdoor glamping experience. Our bungalows also have cooking utensils and olive oil, of course! Please contact our Glamping team if you need any assistance with your Galmping BBQ at the farm.
